As if it weren't silent enough already.
Bulgarian interior gurus Vilner got their hands on one of the few Tesla Model X electric crossovers in Eastern Europe, to create its last project for this year. As surprising as it sounds, the main goal for the tuning company was to create a more silent atmosphere in the cabin of the vehicle.
An ambitious task, given the fact that owner of the car has two more Teslas, as Vilner points out, and knows how silent electric cars are. The process started with a full disassembling of the interior, which revealed “how good the car was sound deadened from the factory.” This made the task even more challenging, but the team of sound experts managed to lower the levels of noise by adding extra sound insulation on some strategic areas of the car’s body. And they created the world’s “most silent Tesla cabin.”
But that’s not all. The owner of the car also asked Vilner to create a more “electric” feeling in the cabin, and the designers decided to put contrasting turquoise elements to the car’s black leather interior. Seat belts and the edging of the carpets were completed in that colour, as well as the graphics on the front central sections of the seats.
The exterior is left almost untouched, as Vilner decided to keep the original carbon fibre pack of the Model X P90D and only add several new elements to the body with the same finish. These include a new front lip, mirror caps, and rear spoiler, all with carbon fibre cover.
And to make the vehicle “one of the most exclusive Tesla cars, not only in Bulgaria,” Vilner created a special bag from fine leather with a Tesla logo embroidered in turquoise, which perfectly matches the interior of the Model X.
