10. The traditional official car photoshoot
We begin with the obvious. It's one of the most iconic shots and the set up is a nightmare. But the results....
When the run down from the Dunlop bridge to the esses de la forêt was drastically changed to accomodate MotoGP better, we hated it. And it's been over 15 years in the making but this image finally makes that section of the track nearly palatable.
More heartbreak. De Chaunac is already a very emotional person, and this was just too much to bear.
Perhaps the closest photographers can get to the cars these days, the inside of the first chicane.
A bit of low light kerb hopping at the Ford Chicanes. Typical Le Mans scene.
The battle-scarred Toyota. Nice detail shot.
The run through the forest between Mulsanne corner and Indianapolis. The trees act like natural light diffusers. Lovely.
Romain Dumas is a great character and this sums it up perfectly.
It's all about precision at Le Mans, on track and in the pits. We love atmospheric photos in the pits.
With the on-and-off rain, we were bound to have a few stunning spray shots. This one is our favorite.
Perfect, golden light for the amazing-looking Ford GT and its triumphant return to Le Mans.
