A flipped car was no match for about a dozen men after a freak accident occurred in South Carolina this week.

A video posted on user Bert Sorin's Facebook page shows a red Chrysler Sebring convertible on its roof after the driver veered off the I20 highway in Lexington County, South Carolina.

Several nearby witnesses quickly came to the aid of the man after seeing gasoline leaking out of the car and fearing the worst. The bystanders gathered to one side of the vehicle and used brute strength to flip the car back onto its wheels to avoid catastrophe.

Miraculously, the driver seems to be fine, albeit still recovering from the shock of what just happened. In the video, he says it was a stray library book in the back seat flying forward and distracting him that caused him to veer off the highway.

The Sebring didn't fare quite as well, with the now-cracked windshield sitting nearly flush with the hood, and the convertible mechanism at the back looking twisted out of shape. There even looks to be grass packed into the driver's side, where the vehicle presumably first impacted the ground. That being said, the condition of the drop-top doesn't seem too bad considering it was lying on its top just a few moments before.

We're just glad everyone seems to be okay, and we're happy to see the good side of humanity every once in a while.
