Novitec Torado's supercharger boosts output by 250 horsepower

While some will use the word "blasphemy" to describe a supercharged Lamborghini, others will appreciate the significant power hike over the regular, naturally-aspirated version. The aftermarket specialists from Novitec Torado are big fans of supercharged Lambos and are currently working on a Huracan Spyder to follow the Coupe version presented at the beginning of the year.

As was the case with its fixed-roof sibling, the open-top baby Lamborghini will be motivated by a supercharged 5.2-litre V10 engine with a massive 860 horsepower instead of the usual 610 hp. Torque will also be enjoying a massive bump from the series 412 pound-feet to 709 lb-ft.

There’s no word about performance, but you can imagine the huge power gain will probably slash a few tenths of a second from the 0-100 kilometres per hour (0-62 miles per hour) sprint which in the regular Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder takes 3.4 seconds. At the same time, the stronger V10 engine will likely enable the topless supercar to go well beyond the 324 km/h (201 mph) of the regular model.

To go along with the upgraded 5.2-litre unit, Novitec Torado has also created a more aerodynamic body dipped in carbon fibre. While the Huracan Spyder presented in the attached images is wearing Lamborghini’s Verde Mantis hue, the tuner says customers are able to order a naked carbon version of the body kit.

Those looking for further customization options can select from aftermarket 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged wheels with matching tires, and from a wide variety of options to spice up the interior cabin.
