Ferrari's ultimate supercar takes its top off in Paris.
As far as exotic supercars go, it’s hard to top the LaFerrari. Its onboard hybrid powertrain rockets the two-door to 60 miles per hour in less than three seconds, and it looks absolutely stunning while doing so. Here in Paris, Ferrari is showing the convertible version of its ultimate supercar, the LaFerrari Aperta. And just because it loses its top doesn’t mean it loses any of its blistering performance.
Just for a minute, I want you to imagine the thrill of doing 0 to 300 kilometres per hour (186 mph) in fifteen seconds, all with the top down. That’s how crazy this car is. Amazing.
Ferrari will only build 209 examples – 200 customer cars, and an extra 9 promotional cars. The price will surely be staggering – in fact, we’ve already heard that a private broker pre-ordered one for a cool 3.9 million dollars, before taxes. Customer deliveries will begin next year.
