The real twist here is that those are the set prices Genesis has attached to those vehicles, so there's no haggling involved.

With the reveal of pricing for the G90 and G80 luxury sedans, Genesis isn't content with just being a new automotive brand - it's also aiming to do away with haggling and hidden fees, and instead offer what essentially amounts to "all-in" pricing.

The G90 will come in two trims - the 3.3T and 5.0, which come in at $84,000 and $87,000, respectively. The G80, meanwhile, comes in three trims - 3.8 Luxury ($54,000), 3.8 Tech ($58,000), and 5.0 Ultimate ($65,000).

Genesis G80

The real twist here is that those are the set prices Genesis has attached to those vehicles, so there's no haggling involved. Not only that, the price isn't just for the car itself, it also includes delivery and destination charges, as well as scheduled maintenance, Genesis at Home (more on that in a moment) and satellite radio subscriptions for five years or 100,000 kilometres. The price also includes navigation map updates for five years and up to 10 updates.

Eventually, Genesis says its vehicles will be on display in high-traffic boutiques and malls in Canada

You can also forget about walking into a car dealership when the G90 and G80 go on sale on November 21. Instead, you can either have a salesperson visit your home to cross the t's and dot the i's (this is how the aforementioned Genesis at Home works), or you can do everything online. Genesis at Home will extend to the ownership experience, where your vehicle will be picked up for service and dropped off, with a loaner vehicle available in between.

Eventually, Genesis says its vehicles will be on display in high-traffic boutiques and malls in Canada, and some standalone Genesis Distributors will also be built to sell and service cars. A brand store has already been opened in Seoul, South Korea.

The new luxury brand is in tough against stalwarts like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus, among others, but based on first impressions, Genesis is on the right track.
