Lamborghini shows off the speed of its Huracan range in a new ad spot.
The Lamborghini Huracan is a beautiful car, a fast car, and with the addition of the 580-horsepower rear-wheel drive Spyder variant, it’s more or a beast than ever before. That’s why the company decided it was time to let loose the instinctual nature of its freshest supercar in a new video.
The four cars – each driven by one stereotypically handsome man – are all racing the clock to get to a single location.
Together with the rest of the range – the LP 610 coupe, the LP 610 Spyder, and the LP 580 coupe – Lamborghini showed off its new rear-drive Huracan Spyder for the first time on video. The overly-dramatic ad spot begins with a countdown that has each car positioned in a different corner of Europe: Portugal, the Italian Alps, the south of Spain, and the north of France.
The four cars – each driven by one stereotypically handsome man – are all racing the clock to get to a single location. That location is the track, and by the time the clock counts down, the four race past the starting point as the lights turn green. It’s wonderfully cliche.
As for the cars themselves, the RWD Huracan Spyder continues the high-horsepower theme found throughout the range with a 580-hp V10 under the hood and a 0-60 mile per hour (0-96 kilometre per hour) time of just 3.6 seconds. The LP 580 coupe, meanwhile, follows a similar path with 573 hp and a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run of just 3.4 seconds. The top-of-the-range LP 610-4 coupe and Spyder produce 602 hp while sending power to all four wheels.
Whatever Huracan you do decide upon, there’s not doubt that it will be a good time – as exemplified by the many drifts in this video.
