It's the most powerful 911 Turbo ever made by Porsche.

Porsche has not one, but two new 911 versions to show off at the ongoing Goodwood Festival of Speed where the flagship GT2 RS is sharing the spotlight with another hardcore version. The Turbo S Exclusive Series model is a special edition, limited to 500 worldwide, priced at $293,800 where the GT2 RS costs an additional $40,200.

It may not look all that different compared to the Turbo S upon which it’s based, but the Exclusive Series does pack some extra niceties to try and justify the hefty premium of around $76,600 it commands over the base model. For the price difference between the two, one could buy an entry-level Cayman. So, what does the Exclusive Series have that the Turbo S doesn’t?

For starters, it’s more powerful. An extra 27 horsepower takes the total output of the biturbo flat-six 3.8-litre engine to a massive 607 hp while torque remains intact at 553 pound feet. For the whole shebang, the aforementioned GT2 RS uses an updated version of the same mill with a whopping 690 hp and the same amount of torque.

The Exclusive Series can be had not just with this striking Golden Yellow Metallic paint scheme like the one from Goodwood, but also with a gray or white finish for those who don’t want to stand out so much. All three come with a pair of carbon-weave stripes adorning the hood and roof along with a set of center-lock black 20-inch alloy wheels backed by ceramic brakes.

More golden accents have been applied inside where the Golden Yellow Metallic theme is noticeable on the Alcantara-covered headliner and on the “Turbo S” lettering of the headrests. Other niceties installed by Porsche include the carbon door entry guards with illuminated “Exclusive Series” and the sports seats covered in two-layer leather and adjustable in no less than 18 ways.

And then there’s the performance: 0-100 kilometres per hour in 2.9 seconds onto a top speed of 330 km/h. Compared to the GT2 RS we’ve been mentioning, it’s a tenth of a second slower in the sprint and has a 10 km/h lower maximum velocity.

It’s still the fastest and most powerful Turbo S ever made, so needless to say, it has a lot going for it.
