This insane sedan makes 1,090 horsepower.
Aesthetically, it looks like a simple last-gen Mercedes E 63 AMG in its more powerful "S" version, but under the hood, hides a formidable preparation signed Posaidon. The twin turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine no longer delivers 585 horsepower, as the German tuning company has given it a four-figure power rating: 1,090 horsepower.
Of course, mechanical modifications are important, such as the increase in the displacement of the engine to 6.5 litres, as well as the installation of a larger intercooler to increase the pressure of the turbochargers. This AMG E 63 S sedan has also been equipped with a stainless steel sport exhaust system, to make the V8 even more melodious, while the computer has been reprogrammed to optimize the management of the new organs.
The seven-speed automatic gearbox has also been reinforced to absorb the extra torque delivered by the engine: Posaidon announces an impressive 996 pound-feet of torque, electronically limited to ensure the reliability of the mechanics, this 6.5 litre engine being able to offer much more if no restrictions were applied. Compared to the standard V8, this is a remarkable gain of 406 lb-ft offered by the German engineer.
Beyond the engine, Posaidon also modified the suspension, installed new AMG rims and modified the speedometre to allow it to reach 380 kilometres per hour at maximum speed, instead of 320 km/h. The price and performance of this formidable E-Class have not been revealed by Posaidon, but they will certainly be better than the standard E 63 S, which already sprints 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and on to a maximum speed of 300 km/h.
For customers looking for less power, Posaidon also offers versions for the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S that brings its power to "only" 850 and 920 horsepower.
