Mustang driver charged with second-degree assault.
It seems road rage is unavoidable these days as dash cam footage has caught another instance of a driver allegedly intentionally crashing into another vehicle.
According to The Denver Post, the incident occurred on June 7 in Colorado Springs at approximately 11:30 p.m. local time. The episode was recorded by a delivery driver who believes the Ford Mustang cut off the biker's girlfriend who was driving behind him in another car. The unnamed motorcyclist was allegedly unhappy about this and followed the Mustang.
The bike eventually pulled up alongside the Mustang and the two drivers exchanged some nasty words. After approximately 30 seconds, the Mustang driver decided he heard enough and swerved into the bike, causing the motorcyclist to lose control and come crashing to the ground.
The police were called and shown the YouTube video seen above. While the video isn't of the highest quality, it was apparently clear enough to lead police to both drivers.
The driver of the Mustang has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault which effectively means he intentionally caused bodily injury to the motorcyclist with a deadly weapon (his car). The motorcyclist was also arrested and faces a harassment charge.
