Canadian Tire Motorsport Park's Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix comes to downtown Toronto with some exciting IMSA machinery.
CTMP's Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix comes to downtown Toronto with RaceFest, to celebrate and showcase the excitement of Canada's biggest sports car race of the year. This is a dynamic public and media event, with great on-site visuals, sounds and personalities.
Canadian racing legend Ron Fellows will be back behind the wheel of a race car for the pit stop demos.
RaceFest will happen Wednesday, July 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto.
* Live Pit Stop demonstrations by the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship factory Corvette Racing team, with Canadian Hall of Famer and CTMP co-owner Ron Fellows back behind the wheel for this special event.
* Appearances and autograph sessions by defending race winners, brothers Jordan and Ricky Taylor, and some of Canada's top sports car racers, including Kyle Marcelli and hall-of-famer, Scott Maxwell.
* Race cars, including the defending race winning Prototype and current series-leader, the Konica Minolta Corvette of Wayne Taylor Racing.
* Displays and exhibits, including the Canadian Tire Pit Stop Experience, where fans can try their hand at changing a tire against the clock.
In addition to the WeatherTech Championship, four exciting series will also take to the 3.957 km CTMP Grand Prix circuit July 7-10: the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, Mazda Prototype Lites presented by Cooper Tires, SCCA Pro Racing Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich and the Nissan Micra Cup.
