What's next for the Californian company?
Tesla boss Elon Musk has used its Twitter channel to announce he is working on the second part of the so-called Top Secret Tesla Master Plan.
Those of you with a sharp memory will remember that back in 2006 Musk laid out the Californian company’s mission in a blog post, titled “The Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan (just between you and me).” Now, almost a decade later, he is finalizing the second chapter of the “secret plan.”
Ten years ago, Musk said his company will start to build sports cars, use that money to build an affordable car, and use that money to build an even more affordable car. While doing above, Tesla also had plans to provide zero emission electric power generation options.
Currently working on step three of the plan with the Model 3, the automaker is about to reveal its future plans – maybe for the next 10 years – “later this week.”
We don’t have an idea as to what this second part of the plan might include, but Electrek is giving us some possible options. One possibility is that Tesla could launch the long-rumoured Tesla Mobility car-sharing services platform with “some autonomous driving aspects.” We also won’t be surprised if Musk gives us a glimpse at some future models of the brand, but we’ll have to wait a couple of days to find out.
