"Dusk until Dawn"-themed, and inspired by Porto Cervo
Rolls-Royce has unveiled a pair of new Bespoke cars themed "Dusk until Dawn" at its ultra-exclusive Summer Studio event in Porto Cervo, a playground of the incredibly wealthy on the Italian island of Sardinia.
"Dusk" is represented by a Wraith coupe, finished in two-tone silver that “reflects the dimming of the day’s light.” A purple coachline hints at the interior colour scheme, while the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot casts out light. The interior is swathed in purple leather, with blue, black, and slate gray details, some of them in ostrich hide.
Meanwhile, a Dawn convertible represents, err, dawn. It wears a striking shade of emerald green on the outside, and seashell and green leather inside. Open-pore teak wood veneer encircles the interior; even the trunk has a Bespoke teak floor mat.
Its centerpiece, though, is a sort of brooch, if you will, on the infotainment screen cover. In the form of the emblem of Porto Cervo, it’s made from emerald stones and mother of pearl, set in white gold.
According to Rolls-Royce, the Dawn and Wraith together “reflect the atmosphere and vibrancy of one of the world’s most exclusive and glamorous enclaves; Porto Cervo.” They are on display throughout the invitation-only Summer Studio, which runs until September. Though they were commissioned for the event, I wouldn’t be surprised if they both sold within 30 minutes of being unveiled.
