Fashionable and fun to drive, we examine Mazda’s take on the three-row crossover formula.
– Detroit, Michigan
Mazda wants you to associate its name with phrases like “sporty” and “fun to drive.” The company has made great strides to instill this philosophy in its full lineup of cars, from the two-seat MX-5 Miata through its entire range of crossovers. That’s even true with the seven-passenger CX-9.
Redesigned for 2016, the new CX-9 focuses on being great to look at and even better to drive. And while it’s still plenty functional for small families or empty nesters, people who look to this vehicle as a glorified minivan might be a bit put off.
The truth is, we love the Mazda CX-9 because it’s so great to see and sit in. But crossover shoppers need more than just a pretty face and a spirited driving dynamic. Follow along as we explore all of the new CX-9’s pros and cons in our latest Why Buy? video.
