Sharper and more luxurious, the GTC4Lusso enhances the 'everyday' Ferrari formula.
Debate all you want about its worth as a 'true' Ferrari, the GTC4Lusso is one hell of a car. Yes, it has four seats, all-wheel drive, and a clownshoe shape that results in decidedly questionable styling – none of that matters when you bury the throttle and unleash the Italian vibrato of the 680-horsepower, 6.3-litre, naturally aspirated V12. It has the soul of a proper Italian, even if it's the largest car Ferrari's ever made.
But don't just take my word for it. Follow along with Giuliano Daniele from our Italian sister site OmniAuto.it, who recently spent some time driving the snot out of the new GTC4Lusso against the backdrop of the Dolomite mountains in northeastern Italy. This is Ferrari's premiere grand tourer, but it certainly packs a punch – even at 1,920 kilograms, it's able to sprint to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.4 seconds and will top out at an eye-watering 335 km/h. But as Daniele explains in the video, the GTC4Lusso benefits from a number of tweaks and enhancements that make it much better to drive than its predecessor – the car's "new brain," if you will. That, combined with a super luxurious, four-seat interior, makes this Ferrari one of the most functional, in addition to being quite lovely to drive.
